Some Handsome Hands

This unique piano trio unites on a single grand piano, three young pianists that have found the courage to make music at close quarters. The Trio: Anne Salié, Alina Pronina, and Alyana Abitova. With great esprit and verve the ensemble traverses the musical literature across all boundaries. The hard work and dedication required of this constellation has already resulted in the award of the 1st Prize at the 5th International Piano Competition for Piano Playing for Several Hands in Marktoberdorf, Germany and a Scholarship from the Doms Foundation in Basel.

Since its inception in 2004, the ensemble has given numerous concerts in Germany and abroad, including performances in Dubai and Switzerland and live Radio broadcasts ny Deutschlandradio Kultur and by the Bayerische Rundfunk, covering their appearance at the KlassiYmiY Sommerparty 2007. The ensemble has already sommissioned several works by Jiannis Antonopoulos, Thomas Herrmann, Dmitri Pavlov, Steffen Schellhase and Manfred Schitz. Weary of the solitude as a classical concert pianist, Some Handsome Hands has found a way to combine classic, modern and popular music to provide the audience with an effervescent treat for eyes and ears.
