Alice Hampel

Pianist Alice Hampel distinguishes herself through musical diversity. She is a soloist, accompanist and plays piano duets in numerous international concerts. She has received various honors at competitions and has won awards as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In 2008 she received an artist scholarship at the „Cité Internationale des Arts“ in Paris which was awarded to her through direct selection by a national French commitee.

Concert tours led Alice Hampel to many significant concert stages such as the concert halls of Berlin (Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt, Komische Oper, Berliner Philharmonie) and Vienna (Musikverein) as well as to France, England, Austria, Germany, Greece and Switzerland. She regularly plays piano duet concerts and received invitations to various music festivals – Féte de la Musique Paris France – Domusfestival Naxos Greece – Klaviersommer Leipzig Germany – Palmenkonzerte Berlin Germany – „Schlosspark Serenaden“ Mühlbach Austria – Blauer Salon Konzertmartinée Geymüllerschlössel Vienna Austria – EchoKonzert Berlin Germany.

An additional significant focal point of her artistic work is to collaborate with vocalists. As an accompanist she dedicates herself to the interpretation and creation of significant works of art in this genre.

Alice Hampel received her first musical education at the age of six. She was accepted as a young student at the university of music „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin into the piano class of Prof. Jürgen Schröder at the young age of thirteen. She continued her musical education at the university of music „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin and participates in the piano class of Prof. Gabriele Kupfernagel, studied chamber music with Prof. Brigitta Wollenweber and lied accompaniment with Prof. Wolfram Rieger.

She received artistic inspiration in masterclasses with Andras Schiff, Daniel Barenboim, Thomas Quasthoff.
