Duc-Anh Nguyen comes from a family of musicians in Hanoi and is considered as one of the leading pianists of his home country Vietnam. 

He began his piano studies at the age of 7 at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. In 2013, he continued his education in Germany with the German scholarship. He completed his bachelor and master studies with Prof. Eric Le Sage and Prof. Tibor Szasz at the University of music in Freiburg and graduated with the highest distinction. Masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Robert Hill, Denis Pascal and Bernhard Wulff complete his education. Furthermore, he also had the opportunities to have Masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Robert Hill, Denis Pascal and Bernhard Wulff.

Duc-Anh Nguyen is a prize winner of international piano competitions and won 2nd prize at the "2nd International Piano Competition in Hanoi". He was also the winner of the international Alkan Zimmerman Piano Competition in Athens (Greece). Duc-Anh received an award from the Prime Minister of Vietnam for his outstanding artistic achievements. 

In 2015, Duc-Anh Nguyen was invited to Berlin as an honorary artist on the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam. Further invitations followed to the "International Autumn Music Festival" in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), the Gina Bachauer Music Festival in Corfu (Greece) and the "Long Lake Festival" in Lugano (Switzerland). 

Regular invitations to play with the Vietnamese National Symphony Orchestra, Hanoi Chamber Orchestra and the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra are proof of the popularity and versatility of the piano artist.

As an enthusiastic and passionate musician, it is always a great concern of him to perform extraordinary and high-quality piano works of forgotten composers. Thus, he was the first pianist to present piano music by the French composer and piano virtuoso Charles-Valentin Alkan to the Vietnamese audience. It is also very important to him to present the classical music of his home country Vietnam to a larger international audience. 

Duc-Anh Nguyen also extends his active artistic activities with voluntary work: in 2017 he became co-founder of "Maestoso", a society for the development and promotion of classical music in Vietnam whose artistic director he is still today, and has held the position as artistic director until today.

In 2020 he follows an appointment takes the position as head of the piano department at the Soul Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Ho Chi Minh City.
